I spotted a pair of egrets last Saturday and went in search of the birds again with my camera. As with all wild life these birds are naturally very weary of humans. I could not get close enough to take good shots. The hour outing in the evening got me these shots. Figs growing on the stem of a huge fig tree.

These white-breasted waterhen are really cute but I can't remember what they are called. They were forraging peacefully till the egret spooked them by taking flight.
High above was a brahminy kite soaring on the thermal drafts.
