I have been stalking this bird in my backyard for the longest time. I finally got the shots that I want. Yeah!!!It even looked at the lens. The olive-backed sunbirds have chased the crimson sunbirds from my heliconia plants in the front garden. These days these lovely birds hangout in the backyard feeding on my butterfly pea flowers.Drinking water after this afternoon's downpour.Notice that the flower in the photos is pale blue, the common color for the butterfly pea flower is indigo blue. I found this variant growing on a vacant land at River Vally and collected some seed pods grow.
