If you like blood cockles like I do, you'll be in heaven. I love them blanced and just on the side of raw, in my fried kway teow and laksa. I won't eat fried kway teow or laksa if there is no "see hum" in the dish.

This is how the cockles get shucked to supply the hawkers who fry up the kway teow or cook up laksa.
