It has been an extremely busy day, it being the eve of the Lunar New Year but I managed to steal an hour in the afternoon to go photograph mother nature's amazing creatures. I found a pacific swallow sitting on a sign survey the area around it in search of insects.Pacific Swallows eat insects, catching them during flight. They perch and wait, then actually chase after individual insects and perform aerial acrobatics to catch them much like a bee-eater.Pacific Swallows are residents of Singapore and they can be found everywhere, usually near water and open country. They are particularly common along the coasts, and also found in mangroves.
I thought this little bird was neat as it sat there for me to photograph it.
