Sampled Hawker Fare In Chinatown

These were some of the food we did try. Thai fried fish cakes and steamed fish cakes.

This was a fiery fish cake and our mouths were burning after eating the fish cake. I cooled our mouths down by buying some water apples. These are different from the ones we get in Singapore. These were juicy and slightly tart.Next was this uniquely colored glutinous something or other that had ground mung beans and shredded coconut. You could also select different fillings. This one wasn't something that we found tasty as it was bland. We then stopped to buy Thai chwee kuays. This stall seemed very popular with the locals. Here comes the BUT.... It looked good but taste wise the chwee kuays that we get in Singapore are miles better.
