US Ballparks

May 2006 - Fenway Park home of the Boston Red Sox. I was so excited to watch my first baseball game with two of the best teams - Red Sox vs New York Yankees courtesy of Microsoft. The game however was a washout as it rained that night. We ended up in an Irish pub eating and drinking instead.

July 2006 - Qwest Fields home of the Seattle Seahawks. Took the Amtrak train up from Vancouver, WA for a meeting. The station and office are just opposite of Qwest Fields.

Longbeach, WA

Longbeach is aptly named for its 28 miles of natural beach. It is the longest natural beach in the United States. 1,000 year old western red cedars thrive on Long Island in Willapa Bay.
We drove from Yacolt to Longbeach had a late breakfast of macadamia pancakes and walked along the beach. We then went to Dooger's Seafood & Grill where we had a very late lunch.

Picking Blueberries

I picked Blueberries almost every weekend and ate them as I picked them too. A punnet can cost at much as US$3 back in Singapore, here it was free all I could eat. Wish I could have taken a cutting home to grow but the plant wouldn't survive in the tropics.

Henry's 12th Street Tavern - Portland, OR

For a teetotaler, I sure do spend a lot of time in pubs. Henry's was hopping and there are all kinds of alcoholic beverages. I did like the
Blue Ribbon lager on tap but I can't for the life of me remember the name of the brewery. Help was at hand to help finish my pint.

Yacolt, WA

Yacolt, Washington is a quiet rural setting north of Battle Ground, Washington. This section of Clark County is not for those seeking the conveniences of other densely populated areas of Clark County. Yacolt offers a peaceful solitude that puts one a "bit" closer to nature and a slower pace of life.
