This is a tree that is always seen in nature reserves but how many of us know that it isn't an indigenous species. Like the name suggests the African Tulip originates from Africa and was introduced to Singapore in the early twentieth century.I didn't climb the tree nor cut one down to photograph these flowers. One of the trees fell during the recent downpour and I used this opportunity to photograph the flowers. See what I found in it, a drowned insect. The tree was also host to creepers and this one had flowers that hung down like lights. I was hoping to find reptiles but none were to be found during this tree inspection.
