Those who frequent the Singapore Botanic Gardens would know that the Black Swans are raising a family of four fluffy cygnets.
The Black Swan is a large waterbird which breeds mainly in the southeast and southwest regions of Australia.
Yes, they are an introduced species but swans have been synonymous with the Botanic Gardens for as long as I can remember. However, this is probably the first time that they have bred successful.
All who have seen the family have been smittened. Who can resist the fluffy balls of feathers. Whoever called a cygnet an ugly duckling is totally wrong.
Go have a look yourself but do treat the family with respect and try not to over feed them.
