White-throated Rock Thrush

White-throated Rock Thrushes are rarely seen in Singapore. Last year a pair was spotted at Bukit Timah Summit but when I huffed and I puffed my way up there. All that was left was the female White-throated Rock Thrush.

While in Thailand, we heard that a male had taken up residence at Khao Yai National Park, and we had to place it on our target list. Lucky for us the bird was still there when we went. According to the Thai birders we met. They only see the males.

My question then, is where do the females winter?
