Hoe Kee Revisited

I've eaten at Hoe Kee previously and thought it wasn't bad. I revisited the stall for breakfast and ordered a bowl of fish porridge. This was my bowl with the condiments that I added on my own to make the bowl camera friendly.I mixed up the porridge to cook the egg. Upon tasting the porridge, it wasn't as good as I remembered. Part of my problem was the fish wasn't that fresh and I ended up leaving the bowl unfinished. Having tasted Zhen Zhen a couple of days ago, I felt that the grainier porridge was tastier than the almost paste style porridge at Hoe Kee.
