Here's a fantastic tree climber, I found this juvenile clouded monitor lizard hanging out upside down on a palm tree. The new year's day was a very good day for looking for critters as there was no one out at the nature reserve and the animals were really hanging out.
When it spotted me, it decided to make a u-turn up the tree. It later reversed its position again when it realised that I wasn't going to do it any harm and hang out mid-plam level warming up in the sun.
