I had to head down to Seah Street to replenish my Valrhona Chocolate and baking supplies.
The area was also old stomping ground since I spent over five years working in that area. I decided to head to Chin Chin for some Hainanese food and no I am not talking about chicken rice. I wanted Hainanese Pork Chop which is deep fried breaded pork chops doused in sweet and sour sauce. Don't think calories think crunchy pieces of pork that is crispy on the outside and firm on the inside. It was pure nostalgia having the dish and it goes well with chicken rice, rice. There are a couple more favorites, like the curry rice stall on Seah Street and the Beef Noodles on Liang Seah Street just to name a few.
