I was walking around one evening and I heard this street vendor promoting his pancakes. I was curious what the banana pancake was in Laos and decided to order one as a before dinner snack.As the vendor started to prepare my pancake, I realized that it was prata dough that was being placed on the hot plate. Once the dough starts to crisp banana slices are added. The crispy bread is then folded, placed onto a styrofoam dish and topped off with chocolate sauce. The minute I took a bite of my snack, I was hooked. It was the best.If you do go to Luang Prabang look out for this street vendor on Sisavangvong Road in the evenings. He makes the best banana prata topped off with chocolate sauce.
