I thought I spotted a bird on some dead branches in a distant. To my delight, it was my favorite bird - the Blue-throated Bee Eater. The solitary bird is a juvenile. This bird was very entertaining. It looked at me in a weird contorted position and did it for some five minutes. As I didn't expect it to dive, I had my camera on a different setting. However, I managed to catch this shot.It circled back after the swopping dive with a dragonfly between its beak.I just wish I had a long lens to allow me to get better shots. Come October they will all be gone, the Blue-throated Bee Eater breeds here and then they fly off to Indonesia.
