Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve

'his the season again to head out to Sungei Buloh to chase migratory birds as I didn't time my trip too well. It was a relatively dull trip for me.
I only manage to photograph an Emerald Dove, which is quite an achievement for me as I have only just caught glimpses of these very shy birds. They disappear very quickly into the undergrove. However, this male dove was out early and I was probably the first human it encountered in the morning. I was able to approach it and it patiently posed for me.It only got spooked when I moved my camera too fast forgetting the cardinal rule of slow measured movements.
Then there were the usual winter visitors like the Red Shanks.
