Took over a year for me to even want to attempt baking macaroons. I finally did and I am swearing off baking them ever again. They are just too numbingly sweet that I can't even imagine eating even one of these confection. The recipe was from the class that I attended many moons ago when macaroons reached the heartlands.These are my chewy cookies fresh out of the oven. Ha! Ha! Ha! OOps! I forgot to round off the macaroons, hence the pointy tips as seen in the photo above. Look the foot actually formed, not bad for my first and last attempt.The vanilla filling I cooked up didn't help either as it just added to the sweetness of the cookie.
