The Playground Kingfishers

My mum is back in the hospital again with pneumonia, the second attack in two weeks. This means less time to look for creatures in the wild. However, the pair of Collared Kingfishers that hunt in the playground provide me some distraction and a opportunity to observe them this past two weeks. I'm now in two minds on these birds - parents that are hunting to feed their young or young adults that are still staying together for safety. The pair are pretty confident and will allow me pretty close. Bird one - has a couple of feathers that have been damaged under its chin. Bird two - is sleek and rounder.
