Took an 18-day break with family, and went to New Zealand for self-drive vacation. Although, I would have loved to spend more time in certain places, we had a great time. First stop was Christchurch, the Garden City. The hotel we stayed at had beautiful roses and the gardener was very proud of his blooms. I was admiring the huge Ingrid Bergman blooms that were the size of a saucer when he gave me a perfect bloom for my room.

So wonderful! I wondered where you had gone. I love the later posts on whale watching, etc. I've been traveling myself for work :-( so not as much time to enjoy your travels.
Hi Lew, it's good to be back. Whale watching is something I love to do. I've been lucky to have seen pilot whales, humpback whales and now sperm whales.
When I use to travel for work, we'd try to squeeze in some time to be a tourist helps you relax. :)
