Chatuchak Weekend Market.

This is The Worlds Biggest Weekend Market selling practically everything under the sun, from the smallest nails, to foods, trendy fashions, antiques intricate wooden carvings, masks from far-off lands, adorable fluffy dogs, colorful fish of every hue and singing birds. You can find all this and more at amazing Chatuchak market. There are almost 9,000 individual booths overflowing with every imaginable type of wares to catch your fancy.
We just walked the home decor, antiques, handicraft and pets section as we weren't too keen on clothes and the crowd on a Saturday morning.
However, the sight at the pet section was a little distressing to say the least. Puppies that have been removed from their mothers way too young and the cramped conditions.
This little one was so upset that he was crying away.Add these tiny bunnies and we were ready to hightail out of the section.
This was so much better, we went on to enjoy the art pieces and home decor. Some of the pieces are pretty tempting but I wasn't too keen on lugging heaps of things back to the hotel in the heat.

Shirls, in Jakarta there are people selling dogs/cats on the road side. They were put in small cages and were displayed under the scorching heat sometimes. As an animals lover, it does break my heart to see this cruel act but there's nothing I can do about it. I am against buying pets from shops too and prefer to adopt those from the street/stray. My cat Suneo is a stray when I first found him. He has turned into a beautiful looking cat and very smart too now.

That was why we had to get out, as we wanted to recuse everyone of them. I have three rescued stray cats n a doggie that was thrown out like trash living with me.
