Maxwell Food Center Takeaway

This stall's name caught my eye and with a quirky name like the Bread Pitt. There wasn't the smell of freshly baked bread to draw you to the stall, although the bread buns are baked on the spot.
Three oven fresh buns for $2.20, I had to at least give them a try. I chose a kaya bun (coconut jam filled bun), cheese bun and a char siew bun.
Before heading over to Xing Xing Tapioca Cake to buy some steamed tapioca cakes and Kuih Kosui to take to the hospital. This is the inside of Bread Pitt's char siew bun. The other two were equally filled with air versus the main ingredient. Taste wise it was just so, so only.

I was wondering if they have Jollie Bread too :) The bottom pic looks like "ongol-ongol" in our traditional savoury snack.

Ha! Ha! the breads have better be voluptuous and not hollow like Bread Pitt.

As for the other kuihs, they probably are, just a different name.
