Food From A Food Court

Well I did eventually made it to Bangkok five hours later at 1 am. So much for a late dinner with my friends at Huay Kwang market to sample street food. After clearing immigration, baggage claim and finding a taxi to take me to the hotel, all I wanted to do was get some sleep.
The next three days will be interesting as I plan to enjoy some of my friends' favorite eating haunts in Bangkok.
Our first stop is Platinum Mall, a clothes wholesale mall with floor after floor of small shops stocked to the brim with clothes and all kinds of fashion accessories. We went there to shop for clothes for kids.
We then went up to the sixth floor where the food court was located to sample some food court food. We got our cash card and off we went to select food we wanted to try. We started off with a papaya salad, an oyster omelette, braised goose and pad thai, which the three of us ate happily while we chatted.
Next was a small claypot of stewed beef just as a sampler. Of all the dishes we tried the biggest let down was the oyster omelette. It was oily and loaded with starch but the oysters were plump, large and fresh. We ended our lunch with dessert - chendol and durian on glutinous rice. Yummy!
