We stopped to look for a Banded Woodpecker that flew by a tree but the woodpecker proofed hard to locate in the tree. While lingering around the area, I noticed a littler butterfly that was flying around. Based on its color I had a hunch that it was one that I may not have photographed before. So it became one of patience as I patiently waited for it to stop, which it eventually did. I approached it with care and was able to photograph it. This is the Biggs's Brownie, this species feeds on the "honeydew" produced by aphids. These ants are tending to aphids and they don't seem to mind the butterfly in their midst.
