The White Dragontail

Here's another butterfly that I've not encountered in Singapore. It flies as fast as the Darters and it took sometime for it to settle down in the damp sand near the hot spring to puddle. The White Dragontail, is a species of swallowtail native to parts of South Asia and Southeast Asia. If only it opened its wings.

While they are not spotted in SG, they could be found in Peninsular Malaysia.

Wow that is a very beautiful butterfly. I first mistook it for a dragonfly, due to its back-stretched wing.

Thanks for the information.

Thanks Shawn. I spotted it in Laos when I was waiting for the Paris Peacock to settle down.
