Kafe Keng Pin

We got royally lost trying to find this place all because the navigator (me) chose to tell the driver to take a wrong turn while trying to find the Cititel Hotel, which is next to Kafe Keng Pin. We were in search of this ngoh hiang seller, who is suppose to make good ngoh hiang. After another twenty minutes of driving around, we decided to ditch the car and walk. However, the noon heat was unbearable and we finally hailed a cab. It took him two turns through side lanes to get us to our destination. Hmmm....
This old, old rather dark and dingy coffee shop did have good food. In addition, to the ngoh hiang, the wanton noodles also looked pretty good and being noodle crazy I had to give it a try.The ngoh hiang was deep fried to crispy perfection. The noodles were al dente and well coated with yummy dark sauce. The wantons were also very tasty. After lunch, I washed the meal down with a cup of very good local coffee.I'd come back to this coffee shop if I come through Penang again.
