After witnessing the pair yesterday in the act, I suspect that I may have made the wrong observation. The pair are only just setting up home and just consummated their union yesterday after the male fed the female a skink.
The thing was it was in the evening after I had packed my camera away in its box. By the time I pulled the camera out the birds were gone. I missed the action and the tender food offerings.
Today, he changed the menu and brought his mate a tilapia.
He then spent more than 15 mins calling to his mate but she was too far away to hear his calls. He flew off and I lost sight of him. I guess I shall have to continue to observe the pair to see if the breeding is successful.
