I thought Mr & Mrs King abandoned their nest as I didn't see them at their nest site for over a week but they haven't. The pair are back and Mr King has started bringing lizards to Mrs King.
I suspect that the wet weather is making the hunt for protein harder and the pair seem to disappear and appear again. He is now coming back with lizards for her but not in the frequency I saw last year. In the past two days these were some of the lizards he caught.
As you can see all three are different species of lizards. I would have documented more but the pair want their privacy, and I don't want to push them out of their comfort zone.
