Monkey throws away, birds pick up

The Long-tailed macaque stole a loaf of wholemeal bread from my kitchen. It was only the next day, that I realized that he did not consume the bread but scattered the slices down the slope after the gardener cut the grass. I heard a small flock of Scaly-breasted Munias happily chirping away. Upon locating the flock, I spotted the reason for their joy. They were eating a slice of wholemeal bread.
I climbed down the slope to sit and watch the birds. They immediately flew away and sat on the fence. One bird flew back to the slice of bread and then the rest followed.
Half an hour later the birds had eaten up the slice of bread.
