I Had A Pair of Finches Visit

As I was preparing to head back to the hospital this evening. I spied a little bird flying around the wild grass and weeds that cover the slope on the back of my house. I quickly grabbed my camera and climbed down the steep stairs in the hope that the bird was still there.
To my delight I spotted a pair of them in the tall grass feeding on seeds. As the pair were very shy, I only managed to get two shots of the birds before they flew off. After viewing the photos that I took and referring to birding sites. I identified my pair of visitors as Scaly Breasted Munia. The Scaly-breasted Munia, also known as Nutmeg Mannikin or Spice Finch is a small passerine bird. This finch is a resident bird in tropical southern Asia from India and Sri Lanka east to Indonesia and the Philippines.
The Scaly-breasted Munia is 11–12cm in length. The adult has a stubby dark bill, brown upper parts and darker brown head. The underparts are white with black scale markings. The sexes are similar, but immature birds have pale brown upper parts, lack the darker head and have uniform buff underparts.
From my photos, I believe on of the birds is a juvenile while the other is an adult based on my two photos. I hope they do drop in again.
