Spending three hours in the zoo was a lot of fun and I found many great photo opportunities. I happen to pass the Wild Africa exhibit during feeding time for the lions as I was about to walk away. I stopped by the Meerkat exhibit and the clan were excited peering out of their enclosure and calling excitedly from within their enclosure.
It didn't take me long to realize that the zoo keepers moved from the lion enclosure to the Meerkats with their food. Hence the excitement in mini Meerkat Manor. The keeper entered the enclosure and tied raw chicken pieces to nylon strings for the Meerkats to chomp on.

Awesome blog you have there. I am most interested in Reptiles and Amphibians, and you have a blog that suits my interest. I would like to continue admiring the beautiful photographs that you post into your blog. Mine is also about animals, but I have not been able to make it as nice as yours.
