The Asian Paradise Flycatcher

The prize of the hot and muggy day - the Asian Paradise Flycatcher - a migratory species that is found from Turkestan to Manchuria, where they breed. The birds fly out and winter in tropical Asia. Guess what I never noticed the bird before until people started to talk about it this year. I am glad I made the effort to go look for the birds and learn a little about them. The bird that I spotted is a female as it had a grayish throat as seen in the photo below. The adult male Asian Paradise-flycatcher is beautiful bird with a black crested head, chestnut upper parts, pale grey underparts and long tail streamers. He's the one that all birders are looking for.
